I am writing today as the CEO of Heritage Health, deeply moved by the recent events in your community. My heart aches for all that you have endured, but I find hope in the resilience and strength that characterizes the Silver Valley.

We grieve with you over the tragic shooting in Kellogg and the painful loss of a beloved community member in Pinehurst. These heart-wrenching events have resonated deeply within our organization, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families affected and to all who are mourning these profound losses.

Further, we understand that recent incidents at Kellogg High School have led to division within the community. These moments of discord, while difficult, can also serve as a springboard for dialogue, understanding, and unity. It is essential in these trying times that we set aside animosity and fear, to find common ground in our shared humanity.

The Silver Valley has always been known for its strong sense of community, grit, and a willingness to tackle difficult challenges. Although each town is unique, you are united in being members of the Silver Valley. These values will be vital as you navigate these difficult times. We remember that each person in Silver Valley is an important part of the fabric of the community.

Fear, hate, and a loss of hope can creep in during challenging times. Yet, Silver Valley's history tells a story of resilience. It's a story of a community that has the capacity to rise, to heal, and to grow stronger and more inclusive in the face of adversity.

As you face these adversities, let's use them as a catalyst to shape a better future. A future where diversity is cherished, open conversation is encouraged, and every individual is deeply cared for. This is the future we believe Silver Valley can embrace.

Our team at Heritage Health stands ready to support the community during these challenging times. We are committed to being there for you, providing care, and playing our part in the community's healing and growth.

Healing may be a long process and there may be obstacles ahead, but it is a journey that can be undertaken together. By fostering compassion, overcoming division, and maintaining your strong community spirit, the Silver Valley can emerge stronger.

In times of crisis, we are presented with a choice. We can let adversity pull us apart, or we can let it strengthen our bonds, foster unity, and pave the way for a brighter future. Let's choose unity. Let's choose hope. Let's choose a stronger Silver Valley.

Thank you for being a community that inspires us every day. Our promise to you is to continue standing with you, caring for you, and working together to support a brighter future.

With deepest respect and unwavering hope,

MIKE BAKER
