Cogley, who will continue his track and field career at Boise State, won the state 5A boys title the 400-meter dash, finishing in 48.36 seconds on May 20 at Mountain View High in Meridian. “Being the heavy favorite, sometimes that’s hard to deal with,” Lake City coach Kelly Reed said. “But it wasn’t an issue for him at all. He was in control the entire race and it’s fun to see it when all that work pays off for a kid. Trevor’s worked his tail off and deserves it.”
