COEUR d'ALENE — Marlo Finney Faulkner has been named grand marshal of Coeur d'Alene's American Heroes Fourth of July parade.

The lifelong Coeur d'Alene resident is credited with having significant impact on art and education, and she has served on nonprofit boards.

The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber said Faulkner sets a "shining example" for our community.

The Coeur d'Alene High School Class of 1960 alumni began her life of serving others as a Blue Bird in 1948 and hasn't slowed down, according to the chamber.

The “Vintage America: The Magic of Our Youth” parade presented by Idaho Central Credit Union begins at 10 a.m. at 15th and Sherman and travels west toward downtown, ending near Independence Point.
