Coeur d'Alene boys sweep at own summer basketball tournament

COEUR d’ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene High boys basketball program swept the three championship games at the third annual Coeur d’Alene Summer Shootout, which concluded Sunday.

Coeur d’Alene’s boys won the varsity, junior varsity and freshman brackets.

The event included 32 teams from the area, with round-robin play on Saturday, and double-elimination bracket play on Sunday.

Coeur d’Alene’s varsity beat Post Falls in the championship game, after defeating Central Valley and Lake City earlier in the day.

Coeur d’Alene’s JV boys beat Lewiston in the title game.

Coeur d’Alene’s freshman team beat Bonners Ferry in the championship game.

Coeur d’Alene High varsity boys basketball coach Jon Adams said they may add a high school girls division and a middle school boys division to next year’s event.
