LEGION BASEBALL: Lums fall in title game at Lewiston tourney
LEWISTON — The Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen AA team finished second in the six-team Dwight Church Memorial Tournament, falling 13-3 in five innings to the Mercedes Benz Boys of Seattle in the championship game Sunday night at Lewis-Clark State’s Harris Field.
The Lums managed just two hits and committed five errors leading to six unearned runs, while the Benz Boys totaled 16 hits.
Coeur d’Alene (8-6) returns to action Thursday at the Bozeman (Mont.) tournament, opening vs. the Twin Falls Cowboys.

Northern Lakes rained out on final day at Bozeman tourney
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Rain brought a halt to the final day of play, keeping the Mountaineers A team from possibly playing for a championship at the Howard Rein Memorial Tournament.
Northern Lakes was scheduled to play the Bozeman Bucks in a semifinal game, with the winner playing the Helena Reps in the title game.
Northern Lakes (6-4) is scheduled to return to action Tuesday with a doubleheader in Lewiston vs. the Lewis-Clark Cubs.
