US YOUTH SOCCER FAR WEST PRESIDENTS CUP: Timbers, Thorns teams all fall on second day

18U BOYS

The Timbers North FC 2005 boys team lost 3-1 to Players Elite SC of Las Vegas on Saturday in their second game of group play at the US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise.

Jacob Molina scored on a penalty kick for Timbers, now 1-1 in group play. A win today against the Utah Soccer Alliance (0-2 in group play) at 1 p.m. PDT gives the Timbers a chance to reach the semifinals.

Players Elite SC is 2-0 in group play.

14U BOYS

The Timbers North FC 09 boys fell 1-0 to Aggies FC Utah in their second game of group play at the US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise.

The Timbers, 1-1 in group play, conclude group play today at 1 p.m. PDT vs. the Colorado Rapids South, also 1-1 in group play.

The Aggies are 2-0 in group play.

14U GIRLS

The Thorns North FC 09 girls lost 1-0 to Real Colorado on Saturday in their second game of group play at the US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise.

The Thorns, 0-2 in group play, face the Columbia Premier Timbers of Washington (0-1-1 in group play) today at 1 p.m. PDT in the final game of group play.

Real Colorado is 2-0 in group play.
