Chamber seeks grand marshal

| June 7, 2023 1:00 AM

The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber is seeking nominations for an individual to serve as the grand marshal for the Fourth of July parade.

An "exceptional individual who has demonstrated a deep involvement within the community and enriched the lives of those who live here" are the required qualifications.

The theme of this year's American Heroes parade is "Vintage America: The Magic of Our Youth."

The patriotic procession is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. near 15th and Sherman and work its way downtown, ending near Independence Point.

According to the chamber, the ideal grand marshal will have a track record of participating in community initiatives, working toward its betterment and inspiring others to do the same.

"This individual’s dedication and selflessness should serve as a shining example, illuminating the values that make our community great," the chamber said.
