Marylyn Ruth Cordell, 86

Marylyn Ruth Cordell (86) Passed away July 14, 2023, in Helena, Mont. She was born in Houston, Texas. Graduated Executive Secretarial Course and had a brief marriage to William Darwood Schell. She later joined the U.S. Air Force, serving three years in the European Theater at SHAPE Hdqs in Paris, France, and Headquarters Third Air Force in London, England.

After returning to America, she worked for Morrison-Knudsen Co. and the Minutemen Missile Projects in Cheyenne, Wyo., Grand Forks, N.D., and Great Falls, Mont. She was then transferred to Saigon, Vietnam, for 2 1/2 years and traveled extensively throughout the Far East, Australia, New Zealand and the South Sea Islands.

After returning to Houston in 1968, she moved to Spokane, Wash., and then purchased a home in Post Falls, Idaho. She retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1994 and then traveled the states. She loved camping, fishing and friends, and loved reading books, especially mystery ones.

She is survived by numerous nieces. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer society, as Marylyn was a two-time cancer survivor since 1977.
