Wallace 'Brady' Harold Bradymire, 95

| July 16, 2023 1:00 AM

It is with great sadness that June 1, 2023, Wallace Bradymire passed away in the privacy of his home. He transitioned with his wife, both daughters and his granddaughter by his side, who had the privilege of caring for him in his final week. It is with joy we know he entered the gates of heaven in this moment and reunited with his parents, siblings and two of his children. On this day, we lost an amazing man who loved his family.

Wallace was born to William and Birdie Bradymire on Jan. 2, 1928, in Miles City, Mont. In 1948, he married Helen Fields (d. 2012) and they had three children: David Harold (Rena), Margaret Rose (d. 2015) and Bret Allen (d. 2017). He later married Hazel Marie Merkel in 1968 and they had two children, Angela Kay (Chad) and Kim Marie (Todd). He had eight grandchildren, Cheryl, Geri, Cory, Meagan, Zackary, Courteney, Sam and Calvin. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, Denver, Kyiah, Keygann, Cameron, Kaiden, Kenley, Gabriella, Quinnten, Vanellope and Kasen.

He owned Brady’s Shoe Service for over 40 years. He played many rounds of golf into his late 80s. He enjoyed having coffee at local restaurants with family and friends. His great joy in his last years was going to the casino with any child, or grandchild, who would happily take him.

Wallace was a wonderful dad and papa, having a calm presence in all things. He was so proud of all his children, grandchildren and all their accomplishments. He looked forward to their times spent together. He will be greatly missed at our family gatherings.

We want to give a special appreciation to Gentiva Hospice! The support of his team over the last six months was a blessing to him and our family.

The service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel (1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) followed by a celebration of life at the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Lodge (209 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho). All are welcome to join the family there.
