Cooper Fordham hit a three-run homer as Coeur d’Alene beat Sandpoint 14-0 on Friday at Croffoot Park in Hayden in the first game of a best-of-3 series for the District 1 title. Game 2 is today at 12:15 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, is tentatively scheduled for Sunday at 12:15 p.m.
Coeur d’Alene has outscored its opponents 99-0 in seven district tourney games.
11U
Lewiston defeated Post Falls 5-4 on Friday at Croffoot Park in Hayden in the first game of a best-of-3 series for the District 1 title. Game 2 is today at 12:15 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, is Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

LITTLE LEAGUE
Lewiston defeated West Valley of Eagle, Star and Middleton 7-6 on Friday at Lakeland High in Rathdrum in the first game of a best-of-3 series for the state title. West Valley came back to win the second game 9-4 later Friday.
The teams will meet today at 9 a.m. for the title.
