River City Market and Music returns tonight
POST FALLS — Back for its third year, the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce's River City Market and Music events will again liven up Wednesday evenings tonight through Aug. 16.
A farmers' market featuring more than 60 vendors, food and family-friendly fun await guests of all ages from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Falls Park, 305 W. Fourth Ave., Post Falls.
"I love that it's celebrating small and micro-businesses, and the majority are based out of Post Falls," Post Falls Chamber President and CEO Christina Petit said Tuesday. "It's meant to be a community gathering place in Post Falls."
Live music on the main stage begins at 6 p.m. The Theresa Edwards Band will open with country flavor. The rock, blues, folk and country band What About Bob will take the stage Wednesday, July 19. The Rhythm Dawgs will play classic rock and country July 26, followed by the Aug. 2 performance of rhythm, blues and rock band Zoramena. The Sam Leyde Band will perform country Aug. 9 and the rock, pop and rhythm, blues band Pastiche will close out the season Aug. 16.
Petit said River City Market and Music has only expanded in size and popularity since it debuted.
"We're excited that it grows ever year," she said. "It’s near and dear to my heart."
