Changes coming to Prairie Falls Golf Club

Construction has begun on major changes to Prairie Falls Golf Club at 3200 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.

The 42,000-square-foot facility will have hotel suites with kitchenettes and oversize windows with mountain views and two executive suites and a presidential suite with a private balcony above the golf course.

It will also have a large event center with a kitchen and bar, six golf simulator bays, a clubhouse, retail pro shop and local businesses such as River City Pizza.

Owners Rob and Emily Angeli Clark plan to open it in June.

Blythe Anchor opens on Ironwood Drive

A wellness center offering an alternative safe space for mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health, Blythe Anchor has opened at 1112 W. Ironwood Drive.

Meaning a happy wayward pillar of strength, owner Adrienne Hicks and her staff offer in-person and remote Harmonic Egg sessions, ear seeds, a 12-point energy movement and more with massage therapists, reiki and bio-photon therapy.

The resonant egg chamber is a zero-gravity chair that rebalances the autonomic nervous system and promotes specifically tailored healing in 50-minute sessions.

North Idaho Floors opens in Post Falls

A flooring showroom with design and installation services for tile, carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl flooring and countertops, North Idaho Floors opened this week at 780 T. Thornton St. in Post Falls.

With Bobby Thorpe owner and Justin Wiliams general manager, it's a sister company to North Idaho Decks for decks, roof covers, pergolas, railings and sidings.

JIK Printshop opens in Coeur d'Alene

Offering printing on paper and cloth, including custom garment screen-printing, JIK Printshop has opened at 410 E. Harrison Ave.

Matt Hawley's garment screening printing can be for school events, sports teams, family reunions and business uniforms. A screen printer for 17 years, his JIK name stands for Jesus Is King.

• Mexican-inspired food and a full bar will be available at Cochinito Taqueria when it opens Feb. 7 at 9426 Government Way (across from Ski Shack) in Hayden.

• Dog House Grooming has moved to Suite C at 3122 W. Seltice in Post Falls.

• Watch for new places in the Fred Meyer building.

• The Workhorse is a new neighborhood co-working office location at 1324 E. Sherman.

• A large building planned to open in late summer or fall for 851 Fourth Ave. (at Idaho Street) in Post Falls will be called Kindred & Co. with books, home goods and a bistro.

• A two-story, 26,000-square-foot building for Hayden Surgery Center is under construction at 8552 Government Way. The main floor will include Orthopedic Urgent Care, an orthopedic clinic and a physical therapy office. The second floor will have a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center with four operating rooms and a procedure room. The basement will have storage, mechanical and electrical spaces.

• The large new building at 5711 Government Way will open in March as a new place for Schaffer's Towing.

• A Beau Monde Exchange will be at 9428 Government Way.

• Spoon Junkie or Rogue Carnivor evidently will be a new place at 400 N. Fourth St.

• Phase I of the new Kinder Prep Learning Center is under construction at 1847 W. Prairie Ave. The curriculum promotes hands-on, sensory and play-based learning experiences for ages 18 months to 5 years old in an environment that is nature themed and community driven. • Healthy fast food will be featured at Konala, a new restaurant under construction at 107 E. Seventh St. (behind the Bunker Bar on Spokane Street) in Post Falls. Owners Trace and Jammie Miller (also owners of The Bunker Bar and Burger Bunker) plan to open in March. The website will be www.konala.com.

• A 20,000-square-foot structure called Prairie Professional is under construction on the north side of the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Ramsey Road. • Coeur Climbing Gym is leasing a large warehouse space at 764 S. Clearwater in Riverbend Commerce Park in Post Falls to open soon.

• The fourth Kootenai County location of Dutch Bros Coffee will be built soon at 6299 W. Pointe Parkway (next to Panda Express near Cabela's and Walmart) west of Post Falls.

• A large new building with River City Urology to be on the second floor is under construction at Spokane Street and Third in Post Falls. • Watch for an Indigo Urgent Care building under construction next to Starbucks in the Crossroads Center off Ramsey Road.

• A new commercial and residential building, Midtown Centre, is being built at 821 N. Fourth St.

• A spy says a restaurant will be built where Atlas Road meets the Spokane River.

• Watch for The Flats motel at Sherman and 21st Street.
