NIC: Questions about RFQ for legal services

Am I the only one that thinks it is ironic that NIC runs a legal notice advertisement on Dec. 29, Jan. 5 and 12 for legal services? It is noted as RFQ23-01, which I believe means the first RFQ of the new year.

More importantly, will the board be considering any of those candidates because the dysfunctional majority on the board have already chose to hire Mr. Macomber two weeks before the advertisements began publication?

I would appreciate it if the Coeur d’Alene Press would look into the results of that search. Thank you.
