CDA CHAMBER: A year in review

| January 15, 2023 1:06 AM

2022 was a fantastic year at the Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber, and we anticipate an incredible 2023! As we transition into the new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect back and express our gratitude to our community for all the great learnings and accomplishments.

Here are some highlights from our outgoing board chair, Rick Rasmussen, from his year as our fearless leader:

Linda Coppess has taken a leadership role for the last year. Under her leadership, we are GROWING and now have over 800 members and support over 80,000 of our members’ employees.

The Blue Zone marketing team helped us create a new modern website and increased our social media presence and online reputation tenfold.

The chamber had many wonderful events, but the Women’s Luncheon (over 400 attendees including over 40 female high school students) and Fourth of July were incredibly impactful for many people.

We supported the students and staff of NIC like never before.

The CDARC was the honored recipient of a $263k grant from ignite cda to refurbish our building.

With the help of Chief Allen, Tyrel Stevenson and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, along with 50 member businesses, we were able to give away a record $104,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in our region.

Our chamber is incredibly blessed to have had Rick Rasmussen, as our chair and we are thrilled that he will continue to serve on our board as past chair. Thank you, Rick, and to our outgoing board members, for your incredible leadership and service to our community!

We would also like to warmly welcome our new board chair, Jody Azevedo, who is thrilled to take on the role of chair for 2023! She eagerly anticipates many new and exciting projects as we work together to drive increased RELEVANCE and IMPACT in our region.

Along with Jody, we also welcomed the following new board members:

  • Lindsay Allen, Lindsay Allen-Living CDA Realty Group at exp Realty
  • Emily Boyd, Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association
  • Ryan Johnson, Architects West, Inc.
  • Charlie Linder, Kootenai Health
  • Vanessa Moos, Children’s Village
  • Amy Warker, STCU

If you are not a member, we would love to invite you to join our chamber family, and be an incredible catalyst for GOOD in our community. Together, we will seek to promote, support and advocate for our members in 2023!
