Miller, a senior, pinned Koen Mattern of Lake Stevens in 3 minutes, 6 seconds to win the 220-pound championship at the Tri-State Invitational on Dec. 17 at North Idaho College. Miller trailed in the match 2-1 after the first period. “After that first buzz, it was kind of a snap back to reality,” Miller said. “After that, I just focused on my positions and got ready to go. Once I found an opening, I knew I had him and was able to catch him.”
