Art on the Green poster contest deadline March 17

| February 24, 2023 1:00 AM

The Citizens Council for the Arts is already preparing for Art on the Green in August by asking the community to create some art: poster art to be specific.

The 55th annual contest for the Art on the Green poster design is open and entries will be accepted until the deadline at 5 p.m. March 17.

Winners of the poster contest will receive $300 and a T-shirt with the winning design, in addition to the design being circulated widely through Kootenai County on pins, postcards, posters and more.

Posters must include the Citizens Council logo; the date for the festival of Aug. 4-6, 2023; the location on North Idaho College grounds and the website. Poster designs also must be 11 by 17 inches. Each participant can enter up to three poster drafts.

A full list of the poster design rules can be found at artonthegreencda.com/poster-contest in addition to the full list of text to be included and an image of the logo.

The artwork must be an original design, though it can include fonts from an art service.

The medium can be nearly anything, including embroidery, quilting, metallurgy, watercolor, basket-weaving, acrylic, digital or combinations of the above.

Send or deliver all submissions to Art on the Green, care of Flammia & Solomon at 317 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.
