NIC: KCRCC-connected players should go

| February 19, 2023 1:00 AM

I see that Mr. South is a believer in the punishment of the uninvolved. All sorts of people who had nothing to do with the mess that NIC finds itself in should “take ownership” and help fix it. Um. NO. I believe that Pottery Barn rules should apply. You break it, you pay for it.

First up, California Republican and card carrying John Bircher, Mr. Brent Regan, who ignored the rules and custom that the positions of NIC trustees were nonpartisan. He insisted on vetting people on a Republican ticket for ideological purity. Looking at the results, this is where you learn that ideological purity has nothing to do with skill, knowledge, good judgement and relevant experience. Indeed, it may be inconsistent with possessing those qualities. Mr. Regan should resign from his position as head of the Kootenai County John Birch Society Central Committee so that he can’t make another screw up like this one again.

Next, Messers. Todd Banducci, Greg McKenzie and Mike Waggoner should all resign. Banducci and McKenzie, for being the proximate cause for this mess, and Waggoner for having the same agenda as the other two, which can be broadly described as creating ideological purity, not excellence at NIC. Next, NIC should throw itself on the mercy of the court and ask the SBOE for three trustees. Mr. Swayne should be reinstated as president. Mr. South was the hand-picked choice of the Banducci, McKenzie, Waggoner cabal and they should pay for termination. Good Luck with NWCCU.
