SCHOOL LEVIES: Support the levy in your district

To our Kootenai County family, my name is Jim Putman and I am the Pastor at Real Life Ministries. My wife and I raised our three sons here utilizing homeschooling, public and private schooling and I support all three forms of schooling. Our church has partnered with all of the school districts in the area and we feel blessed to live in an area where so many of those working in the public schools share our values.

Our Post Falls and Lakeland school districts in particular are being led by people of integrity and there are so many Christian teachers who do a great job balancing the issues our kids now face. They are often not paid much or appreciated for their sacrifices.

The way our state has set up the funding process demands that we support the school districts with a levy. I am writing this to encourage you to support the levy. What happens in the public school district directly affects the well-being of our community. We at Real Life put together a video where I interview the Lakeland and Post Falls superintendents. There are no perfect school districts nor is that even a possibility. But these people aspire to care for our kids and they do their best in adverse situations in many cases. I will be supporting the levy in my school district and I hope you truly consider doing the same.
