SWAT team apprehends barricaded suspect in Hayden
A woman wanted for drugs, warrants and unlawful possession of a firearm was arrested in Hayden just before 11 this morning.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit arrested Sara E. Beebe, 41, of Coeur d’Alene, the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office reported.
Beebe had active warrants for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and DUI second offense.
Once detectives initiated a traffic stop, Beebe presented a firearm and barricaded inside her vehicle.
Residences in the immediate area of the 9000 block of North Reed Road were evacuated. Several area roads were blocked. After an extended standoff, members of the Kootenai County/Coeur d’Alene Joint Agency SWAT Team were able to successfully apprehend Beebe without further incident.
Beebe was booked into the Kootenai County Jail on her warrants as well as unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.
Beebe has 10 previous bookings into Kootenai County Jail for probation violations, possession of controlled substances and petit theft.
