POST FALLS SCHOOL LEVY: Vote yes March 14

| February 1, 2023 1:00 AM

Both of our kids went K-12 through the Post Falls School District. Joanne and I volunteered hundreds of hours in our schools, and I served on and chaired the Post Falls School board for several years.

Joanne and I have personally witnessed how fiscally responsible our district is and we also understand how important it is to support public education. I urge you to compare our school district to our neighboring districts. Post Falls is the most fiscally conservative district in our area. We will be voting yes on March 14 for the Post Falls School District levy.

This levy includes $1,003,551 for security upgrades. This includes money for Resource Officers and other security personnel. The camera systems will be upgraded and entrances to the schools will be secured. We can’t take the safety of our children for granted; this is of vital importance. The levy also pays for extra-curricular activities, salaries and KTEC. We all know how tight the labor market is. This levy will provide competitive salaries for teachers, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff.

The total amount would be $5,958,551 a year for two years. This levy is in the best interests of the kids in our district. Please, support public education for our children in Post Falls, vote Yes on March 14.
