Woods, who starred for two years at Idaho, commits to Utah

Sophomore Anthony Woods, an 1,100-yard rusher for the Idaho Vandals this past fall, has verbally committed to Utah, he announced on X (formerly Twitter).

Woods played the past two seasons at Idaho, and was one of many Vandals to enter the transfer portal following the season, which concluded with a quarterfinal appearance in the FCS playoffs.

Woods also had known offers from Arkansas and Houston.

Woods is the third Vandal from the portal to commit to an FBS school.

Junior cornerback Marcus Harris committed to California, and freshman cornerback Ormanie Arnold committed to Cincinnati.

Also, a pair of Idaho assistant coaches have moved on. Defensive coordinator Rob Aurich is headed to San Diego State to coach edges, and running backs/special teams coach Thomas Ford will coach running backs at Oregon State.
