Cd'A police association endorses English, Gookin, Wood
The Coeur d’Alene Police Officers Association announced its endorsement of Dan Gookin, Christie Wood and Dan English for another term in office.
“It is important to us that we retain experienced and committed council members who emphasize the need for public safety as their number one priority,” said a statement from Vice President Eric Boardman, in a letter announcing the endorsements. “Public safety has a direct impact on the overall quality of life for both our community members and visitors.”
The Coeur d’Alene Police Officers Association was formed in the early 1970s and represents both sworn officers and civilian employees.
“The CPOA has a long history of supporting candidates that focus on effective, responsible governance of the city. We encourage our citizens to support these councilmembers with their vote and ensure continued quality leadership,” said the letter signed by Boardman, Josh Schneider, Dan Haley, Amy Niska, Chris Schatz and Jesse Welch.
