NIC: Fraud continues
Any doubt about the malfeasance of the KCRCC anointed NIC Board Majority was erased at the last meeting. Despite plain-as-day evidence, Boyles was chosen over the clearly more qualified Stevens Clay. Boyles' incomplete and hostile responses to the RFP questions should have disqualified him. His main qualification appears to be his association with Greg McKenzie and the KCRCC. One has to wonder how much Greg South, Art Macomber and Boyles are funneling back into the KCRCC war chest?
Steering or unduly influencing contracts to cronies with whom a public official has an interest is a violation of Idaho Law. https://www.ag.idaho.gov/content/uploads/2018/04/EthicsInGovernment.pdf should be required reading for these guys.
Art Macomber, ended his services during a board meeting, yet is still somehow billing NIC? How he managed to increase his rate to a ludicrous $400/hour under a terminated contract is a mystery. What special personnel issue has he been working on with McKenzie behind closed doors? Another wrangle to fire Swayne and hire a third president who can siphon even more money from NIC?
Brent Regan needs to answer why KCRCC continues to publicly endorse and fund the election campaigns of obviously incompetent and corrupt people. It’s a long list, including the NIC board members, county assessor’s office, roads board, CLN library board, and the Bonner school superintendent. Don’t forget all the failed attempts to take over the hospital, panhandle health district, and many others. KCRCC appears to value party loyalty more than competence or even “common sense.”
