Weil, a 5-foot-8, 155-pound junior running back, ran for 155 yards — his second straight 100-yard game — in Friday’s 13-12 win over Lake City at Corbit Field in Rathdrum. Weil also ran for over 100 yards in the team’s 17-7 win over Preston on Aug. 18 in Butte, Mont., scoring a touchdown on a nine-yard run. “I challenged him to fill the shoes of some really good backs,” Lakeland coach Mike Schroeder said. “And he’s stepped in and done a great job so far for us.”
