Police seek Hayden shooting suspects
HAYDEN — Police are searching for unidentified suspects who allegedly shot a Hayden man during a robbery late Monday night.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Northern Lakes Fire responded to an address on Buckles Road where a 60-year-old man had been shot, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies rendered aid to the man until he could be transported to Kootenai Health. The man underwent surgery and was reportedly in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
The suspects, who have not yet been identified by police, allegedly stole a large amount of cash from the man during the robbery.
The shooting remains under investigation, but police indicated Tuesday that there’s no evidence to suggest ongoing danger.
“We do not believe there’s a threat to the community,” Lt. Zachary Sifford said Tuesday.
Police encourage anyone with information about the shooting to contact Des. Sgt. Jovick at 208.446.1367.
