Jerry and Elizabeth Rose

40th Anniversary

Jerry and Elizabeth Rose recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with family and friends on an Alaska cruise.

Both are from Southern California and married in Redondo Beach. They relocated to Hayden in 1995 to a home above Hayden Lake, built the year before.

Jerry retired from a decades-long career in law enforcement where, among other assignments, led the police department's Air Support Unit as a helicopter pilot. Jerry has more than 40 years of piloting experience and holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate. Since moving to Idaho, he has been involved in local real estate and presently owns a small real estate brokerage. Jerry served 18 years on the Coeur d'Alene Airport's Advisory Board.

Elizabeth has degrees from USC and UCLA. She taught high school English in La Canada, Calif., for 20 years, was recognized as teacher of the year, along with earning National Board Certification. After moving to Idaho, Elizabeth continued her career, teaching high school English in Spokane Valley, as well as education classes at WSU and Gonzaga University. She retired in 2014 after 41 years in the classroom. Elizabeth has a passion for political and civic activities, serving as a board member for several local organizations.

They enjoy travel, mostly cruises, and spoiling their cats.
