COMMUNITY LIBRARY NETWORK: Board behaving irresponsibly

| August 23, 2023 1:00 AM

Voters it looks like the Library Network is going to go the way of NIC — same push on the ideas and morals (?) of the few on the citizens of Kootenai County. What percent of the eligible citizens actually voted? Those that didn’t vote are going to reap the consequences. Close on Sundays — whose Sabbath — God only said rest on the seventh day — not necessarily Sunday — and what about those folks that work at the library on Sunday — taking away their income is OK? Don’t accept the finances that would have enhanced the libraries at no cost to the taxpayers, eliminate programs before actually checking with those that it will affect at no saving particularly if you use the funds available that you are not going to use — why? It seems that this board is acting in a very irresponsible way to the citizens of Kootenai County. Lawsuits — here they come. KCRCC thanks but no thanks for you endorsements of the candidates that won including in the last library election! I say again, be aware of who is making the decisions on who is an appropriate candidate — 73 precincts, about 65 precinct committee persons making those decisions — get the facts, be informed, vote intelligently! And pray that common sense will prevail.
