Cd’A BUDGET: City should cut personnel

According to the mayor, Coeur d’Alene’s budget is “unsustainable.” That’s simple enough. Those on the inside want to spend more after receiving raises the rest of us did not receive. Those on the outside see it is the city spending more than it’s receiving. That really is a simple problem to solve. Spend less. Since 85% of the city’s budget is personnel, reduce personnel and you reduce the current and forward looking budgets.
