Sally Macomber, 81

We are sad to announce the passing of Sally Ann (Mckeen) Macomber of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Aug. 11, 2023. Sally passed away at age 81, surrounded by loving caregivers after a long battle with cancer and Parkinson's.

Sally grew up in Republic, Wash., daughter of Roe and Elma McKeen, until she married Dennis Macomber in her early 20s and moved to California. There, Sally resided for most of her life in Arcata, working at Humboldt State University and raising two children. After her retirement from Humboldt State University, she and Dennis moved to Foresthill to be closer to their son and family. In her twilight years, she moved to Coeur d'Alene, where her daughter and family live. Sally loved music, dancing, arts and crafts and coloring, but more than anything, she loved her family and grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Renee Radley (Mike), son Dan Macomber (Thea) as well as four grandchildren, Michael, Madalyn, Rilee and Landen. Sally will be greatly missed, She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Washington State Veterans Cemetery, and a private memorial service will be held with only close family members present.
