Grease Monkey adding car wash in Athol

The new Grease Monkey functional oil change shop at 7001 E. Athol Crossings Road will soon be adding a Monkey Shines Car Wash.

Grease Money offers recommended maintenance, consumable parts such as brakes, wipers, batteries, belts and hoses. Employees give a free front-seat vacuum, clean exterior windows and check tire pressures with a 16-point inspection on the battery, belts, hoses, fluids and gaskets. They give a free flower to every lady or guy who wants one, cookies, ice water or hot beverages. Wi-Fi is free. General manager Niki Clements is assisted by Kelsey Hardt and Karl Mack.

Rooted Social House planned in Post Falls

With many options for food and beverages in an elevated space and on a patio, Rooted Social House is planned for 310 N. Spokane St. in Post Falls.

Kam and Nav Virk will offer coffee, teas, matcha, pastries, morning and lunch sandwiches, salads, wraps, bowls and an afternoon menu with beer, wine and food offerings. They plan a cafe that will accommodate the growth of Post Falls. It should be complete next summer.

Regulate Youth Services offers a gym and pool

A sensory gym and pool are available for kids at Regulate Youth Services at 7780 N. Mineral Drive.

It includes indoor swings, a trampoline, zip-line, climbing wall, swim lessons, life-skills classes, adaptive dance fitness and support broker family-directed services.

• A new Marriott Hotel will evidently be built downtown.

• North Idaho Eye Institute has acquired the former Teton Restaurant building at 1901 Seltice in Post Falls and will move there from 1110 Polston.

When complete, The Mill will be four stories of 43,000 square feet with retail on the ground floor and 43 apartments on the upper floors. The building owner is Widmyer Corp. real estate.

• New buildings under construction in Hayden include Lake Forest Interior Design (9245 Government Way) and Hayden Surgery Center (8552 Government Way).

• A commercial building with three suites is being constructed at 9041 N. Hess St. (just north of Walmart) in Hayden. • "Coming Soon" signs in Hayden are for a Metro Express car wash, Dirty Bird Self Car Wash and a Consign Furniture.

• TownePlace Suites by Marriott Hotel is being built where the Outback Steakhouse was in the southeast corner of I-90 and Northwest Boulevard.

• A DOMA Coffee Roasting Co. will be on the over-the-river side of a development being built where the end of Atlas Road meets the Spokane River.

• Sebastian's Coffee & Pastry will be at 1114 W. Ironwood.

• Pilgrims Market will expand to a building across the street.

• A new pizza place will be in the former Syringa building on Fourth Street.

• An armed man ran into a real estate agency and shouted "Nobody move!"
