The Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance will open studios to the public Aug. 26 and 27 during the 11th annual Coeur d’Alene Artists Studio Tour.

The free event will feature 36 artists across 17 studios in Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding area. The studio tour gives community members a glimpse into the creative process and opportunities to purchase artwork directly from the artists.

Download the Studio Tour map or pick one up in person at the Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber. Make your own tour or hop aboard the VIP shuttle for a fun guided tour that includes bottomless mimosas and a catered lunch. The shuttle service begins at 9:30 a.m. Shuttle tickets are $50 and available at nspiretours.com.

The Saturday tour will begin at the North Idaho College east parking lot on Hubbard Street. It will cover nine studios in Rathdrum, Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene, followed by a catered lunch at the Cabe Studio, 501 S. 17th St., Coeur d'Alene.

Tour guests will watch the magic happen as artists create their works. Visitors will have the opportunity to inquire about technique, principles, style and choices to understand the minds behind the art.

An opening preview reception will be at 6 tonight at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.
