Mitchell Adam Weingart, 32

| August 11, 2023 1:00 AM

Mitchell Adam Weingart, 32, of Cataldo, Idaho, went to be with our Lord in his sleep July 31, 2023. Mitch was born at Kootenai Medical Center in Couer d’Alene, Idaho, on May 4, 1991, to David Ray Weingart Jr. and Janet Ann Weingart (Finney).

At an early age, Mitch developed a passion for creating top-quality food, whether in the kitchen or on an outdoor grill. His love for great food and joy of serving others led to his 2009 enrollment in the culinary program at North Idaho College. You could frequently find him smiling from ear to ear while running multiple grills and directing food preparations at community events in Cataldo, Cd'A, Prichard and many other local North Idaho community gatherings.

In 2013, the North Dakota oil boom was too tempting to resist, and Mitch spent the next 11 years honing his skills as a heavy equipment operator in the excavation field. His talent for running heavy equipment and his “laser-level eye” were well-known and respected by the people he worked with. Next to his trade talents, Mitch was most admired for his magnetic and infectious laugh that could draw in even the most reserved people, and it was a happily accepted standard that when Mitch was having fun, everyone was having fun.

Mitchell’s faith and acceptance in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior secures his place in heaven and ensures that all fellow believers will see him again. He would want you to be one of those people.

Mitch is survived by his parents, David and Janet Weingart, and his four siblings, Adam David Weingart, 39; Pamela Ann Moser, 35 (and daughter); Nicholas Ray Weingart, 34 (Stefanie Nicole and two children); Timothy David Weingart, 28.

Memorial services will be held at Real Life Ministries in Pinehurst, Idaho, on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. with a reception immediately to follow at the Prichard Tavern in Prichard, Idaho.

Memories of Mitch and messages of condolence may be shared with his family online at www.shoshonfuneralservice.com. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, is assisting the Weingart family with arrangements.
