Art Spirit opens 'Modern Ease'

COEUR d'ALENE — The Art Spirit Gallery, 415 E. Sherman Ave., opened the exhibit “Modern Ease" on Saturday.
Described as edgy, bold and contemporary, the show this month features works by artists Claire Akebrand, Christian Benoit, Nick DeVries, Aaron Johnson, Jon Morse and Stan Peterson.
Some use their art to seek understanding or love for the world, some seek to create a specific experience in the viewer. Others seek to tell a unique story and some let their creativity guide them to a finished product.
"Whichever camp the artists fall into, their work is unique, powerful and enchanting," gallery owner Blair Williams said.
The exhibit will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday, until Aug. 27.
An upcoming exhibition at The Art Spirit Gallery is scheduled Sept. 2 with "The Peace Of It All" featuring works by Ryan Molenkamp, Sheila Miles, Doug Fluckiger, Susan Mattson and Sandi Bransford.
