NOTIFICATION OF RIGHTS AND NOTICE OF COMPLIANCE For elementary and secondary schools - SY 2023/2024 In Accordance with the Family Rights and Privacy Act: as amended 1997 The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords parents and students over 18 years of age (“eligible students’) certain rights with respect to the student’s education records. They are: 1). The right to inspect and review the student’s educational records within 45 days of the day the School District receives a request for access. Parents or eligible students should submit to the school principal, (or appropriate school official) a written request that identifies the record(s) they wish to inspect. The principal will make arrangements for access and notify the parent or eligible student of the time and place where records may be inspected. 2). The right to request the amendment of the student’s education records that the parent or eligible student believes are inaccurate or misleading. Parents or eligible students may ask the School District to amend records that they believe are misleading or inaccurate. They should write to the school principal; clearly identify the part of the record they want changed and specify why it is inaccurate or misleading. If the District decides not to amend the record as requested by the parent or eligible student, the district will notify the parent or eligible student of the decision and advise them of their right to a hearing regarding the request for amendment. Idaho Housing & Finance Association Notice of 2023 CHDO Operating Assistance Grant Application & CHDO Certification Deadline IHFA is now accepting applications from community-based, non-profit affordable housing development organizations (CHDOs) for 2023 CHDO Certification status, and CHDO Operating Assistance Grants. CHDO Operating Grant funding is split between all eligible CHDO’s which apply and are approved for funding. The amount of funding available to each CHDO depends on individual scoring, as well as the number of approved applications. Individual grants cannot exceed $50,000. The Organization must be a 2023 IHFA-Certified CHDO to be eligible to receive a CHDO Operating Assistance Grant. Organization must submit all requested documents on the CHDO Certification and Operating Grant Application Checklist, as well as the Full CHDO Certification Checklist, and the CHDO Operating Grant Application, which can found on the HOME Programs website here: https://www.idahohousing.com/federal-programs/home-program/ or in the online Procorem Work Center (online portal), once a work center portal has been requested for application submission.
