TESH: Walk-out due to current leadership
In regard to Bill Buley’s article, “Tough times for Tesh,” the article concludes incorrectly with the assumption that pay was the reason for the mass walk-out of Tesh in the past few weeks. I was one who walked out and pay had nothing to do with it. The comment, “They are not paying their people correctly for the care and help they are asked to give…” may be true, but the staff have worked for years, decades on that pay — we do not work with these precious clients for the pay!
The ONLY reason we walked out was we do not trust the current leadership. The true leader of our company, the only leader, left. So we had no choice. And the board did not listen when we begged them to keep her — no — allow her the position she has been doing for years. She was our true CEO. She has really been keeping our company alive and functioning. She was the one we always could count on. We cannot count on the current leadership and never have.
Please, if you read this article, understand we love the clients. But we had to leave an operation now run by incompetence, inexperience and one that forgot what Tesh is about — love for the clients. It is not a cold business — it is family. The board should resign immediately and take their CEO with them!
