Road resurfacing scheduled this week in Kellogg
The city of Kellogg has to keep its recently-replaced roads well maintained as part of an agreement with the EPA to maintain a barrier that keeps the contaminant soil beneath the pavement away from human exposure. The funds to keep up with this maintenance come from the city's local option, non-property tax on the city's short-term rentals.

Road resurfacing is scheduled to take place through Friday in Kellogg.
Cameron Avenue, Division Street and Hill Street north of Interstate 90 will be resurfaced with either chip or slurry seal. If the work on your street is not completed immediately, it will be completed the following day.
Workers with flags and pilot cars will be present to direct traffic and ensure public safety. Expect some delays and temporary closures. Any cars parked within the resurfacing area on the days of the road work will be towed.
The city is asking that drivers refrain from parking in the resurfacing areas for two days after the road work. If you have any questions about road work, contact the Kellogg Public Works Department at 208-786-9131.
