ROAD WORK: Thank you to the crews
I want to express a giant thank you for all of the construction crews who are risking life and limb to perform what may seem to them like a thankless and endless job of repairing our roadways. I hear so many complaints about detours and jammed traffic. Speaking for myself, I appreciate all of the work you are getting accomplished in such a short span of time. I am seeing much improvement in many of our roadways. Thank you!
That said, may I vent? I would like to address some of the rude drivers out there. Can you please be more patient? If each person would let one car into a line of traffic, things would go so much smoother. Speed limit does not mean “speed suggestion” or “speed minimum,” it means “limit.” Please stop riding on the bumpers of those of us who are going the speed limit that traffic will allow or that is posted. Sometimes all I see is grill work in my rear view mirror.
We are all hot, we all need to get somewhere, but let’s do it with some consideration for the rest of the drivers who are hot and need to get somewhere. Before you know it, the construction will be done and we will be slip-sliding on ice. Let’s enjoy the rest of our summer.
