LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: Coeur d'Alene 12U falls in Northwest Regional opener

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The Coeur d’Alene 12U Majors Little League team fell in its opening game 10-2 to Dimond-West Little League of Anchorage, Alaska at Al Houghton Stadium on Saturday morning.

Coeur d’Alene was limited to one hit, an RBI single by Bryce Petrella in the first inning to score Trent Larsen.

Dimond-West scored seven runs in the fourth inning after taking the lead in the top of the second inning.

Coeur d’Alene faces Beaverton, Ore., in a loser-out game tonight at 7. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

• JUNIORS

The Coeur d'Alene Juniors (age 12-14) fell 15-7 to Randolph Little League of Tucson, Ariz., and was eliminated from the West Regional tournament in Bend, Ore.
