Evacuation level alert system in place

Much of the land on the east side of Hayden Lake is under a Level 1 GET READY notification.

The levels, determined by fire officials, accelerate if a wildfire does.

GET READY: Create and maintain a defensible space and harden your home against flying embers. This is the notification level residents near the Ridge Creek Fire are now under.

The next levels are:

GET SET: Prepare your family and home ahead of time for the possibility of having to evacuate.

GO: Take the evacuation steps needed to give your family and home the best chance of surviving.
