Philip Donald Messner, 48

Philip was the son of the late Robert Messner and Janice Burg. Born in Orange County, Calif.

He is survived by his mother, Janice Young, and stepfather Robert Young. His son, Holden Farrey-Messner; his sisters, Maria Messner, Barbie Messner, Jamie Jones (Kevin) and Jodi Dyce (Brandon). As well as an extensive family consisting of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Philip was a self-taught cook who worked at many restaurants in Kootenai County. His last job was as a cook at Moon Time in Coeur d’Alene, where he worked for 26 years.

There will be a celebration of life at the Eagles in Hayden on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Eagles Lodge address is 1520 W. Wyoming Ave. Hayden, ID 83835.
