David H. Kellner, 81

David H. Kellner, the son of Theodore and Dorothy (Secaur) Kellner, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

David was born Dec. 9, 1941, at Mrs. Osland’s Maternity Home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. His education included graduating from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Wash., he earned his BA in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho, and he earned his Executive MBA from Ohio University.

On June 12, 1966, he married his beloved Joany of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. David started his professional career working for the Forest Service in the summers. David had a strong love of his country and served in the U.S. Navy, completing several tours of duty in Vietnam. He also believed in serving his community by being a member of both Moses Lake, Wash., and Rathdrum, Idaho’s planning commissions. He was also a former president of the Coeur d’Alene Heart Association and was a member of the Rotary Club in every community he lived in during his professional career. During his retirement, he worked for the Coeur d’Alene Chamber Visitor Center sharing all of his knowledge about the Coeur d’Alene region.

David had a love of telling stories and sharing his knowledge and his family’s history. He also enjoyed sharing his faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ. He enjoyed serving the churches he attended and helping others grow in their faith.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Hagadone Kellner; his three children: Cindy Orr and her husband, Loren; Shawn Kellner and his wife, Susan; and Kim Myers and her husband, John; and eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
