Rosalie Worst Gwinn, 83

On April 6, 2023, the stars became a little brighter with the passing of Rosalie Worst Gwinn. Rosalie Margaret Worst was born May 2, 1939, to Geneva and Robert Worst in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Rosalie grew up in the Coeur d’Alene area graduating from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1957. After several years away from North Idaho, the family moved back in 1975 settling in the Sagle area and raising five children. After the farm was sold she moved to Pullman, Wash., to live with her daughter, Kathleen, and her husband, Sam Reed. Rosalie lived a full and rewarding life, indulging her grandchildren and pampering her great-grandchildren. She loved tending the family farm; she enjoyed quilting and crocheting hot pads for the whole family. Her latest projects included making blankets for her great-grandbabies and building things with Lego.

She was proceeding in death by her parents, Geneva and Robert Worst, her sister, Barbara Jean Shatila, her son-in-law, Sam Reed, and three grandchildren Nichalas, Michael and Karina. She is survived by her brother, Jim (Lois) Worst of Coeur d’Alene, her five children, Margaret (Jim) Nielson of Castlegar, BC, John (LaRaye) Gwinn of Libby, Mont., Shannan (Ron) Lloyd of Medical Lake, Wash., Sharleen Henery of Eugene, Ore., and Kathleen Reed of Pullman, Wash., 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with one on the way, several nieces, nephews, cousins and those that called her Grandma.

There will be a celebration of life, Potluck, June 10 at 2893 Old Moscow Road, Pullman, Wash.
