Lakeland school board to vote again on Heritage Health agreement
To cure a possible open meeting violation, the Heritage Health agreement is on the agenda again Thursday for a special meeting of the Lakeland Joint School District board of trustees.
School district trustees’ action April 20, in which they voted to renew the memorandum of understanding, may have violated Idaho’s Open Meeting Law because the item was on the agenda for discussion only and not an action item.
The agreement, in place since at least 2019, allows Heritage Health counselors to use school district facilities to meet during the school day with students who are their clients.
Thursday’s special meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Lakeland Joint School District office, 15506 Washington Ave., Rathdrum.
The board will consider the agreement again for action prior to a budget workshop.
