Karen Kay Schmeckpeper, 74

Karen Schmeckpeper passed away peacefully April 20, 2023. She was born July 9, 1948 in Fremont, Neb., an identical twin to Karol Shakman, who preceded her in death February 2019.

Karen worked as a dental chair side assistant before moving on to owning her own successful Dental Lab.

She was an accomplished artist and horsewoman. She had a love for outdoors and fishing. Karen lived her final years in Spirit Lake, Idaho where she raised her beloved Corgis. Even in her final days, Karen had the ability to make those around her smile.

Karen leaves behind a brother, Jay Schmeckpeper (Pat); and sisters, Jan DeFord and Kristi Connelly (Matt).
