CDA SCHOOL LEVY: Vote yes

As a mom with two children in middle school, I am writing to express my support for the CDA Schools Supplemental Levy.

Both of our kids are in Advanced Placement classes. Without the levy passing, they won’t have access to this higher-level learning next year. We need these types of classes to help our students reach their full potential.

Our kids are also involved in extracurricular activities. Our son is in band and our daughter plans to swim for CHS next year. Without the levy, there will be no band and no swim team next year. These types of extracurricular activities have a positive impact on so many students in the district.

The CDA School District has been very transparent with their budget, making it easy for community members to see where their tax dollars are going. The budget is available on the district’s website: https://www.cdaschools.org/finance.

The levy will only cost around $6/month for most of our citizens, which is not too much to save 300+ jobs for existing community members. Let’s pass the levy and keep our amazing teachers and staff!

I vote yes because my students feel safe with School Resource Officers in school. The presence of SROs provides a sense of security for our children, giving them the peace of mind they need to focus on their education.

Let’s get this levy passed so the district can continue to provide the best education possible for our children. Vote yes!
