PASCO, Wash. — The Post Falls distance medley team of sophomore Kaylynn Misner, junior Kinlee McLean and seniors Kaley Bohl and Annatasia Peters won at the 60th annual Pasco Invitational in a school record 12 minutes, 19.5 seconds on Saturday, breaking the previous mark set last year in Pasco.

Peters, who has signed to run track and cross country at the University of Utah, also won the 3,200 in 10:36.

Post Falls senior Trevor Miller won the discus with a throw of 168 feet, 6 inches. Post Falls senior Capri Sims was runner-up in the shot put (39-9 ½).

“Our distance medley kids were just awesome today,” said Post Falls assistant coach Samantha Starr of the team, which left Post Falls High at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday. “Trevor had a big PR in the discus and Capri had a good day as well. Those distance kids, it was impressive to see them run today. It was amazing with losing only one senior (Sammie Wood, now running at Boise State) and running a faster time this year. They were awesome.”
