James 'Jim' Albert Johnson, 79

James "Jim" Albert Johnson, 79, passed away April 10, 2023.

Jim was born Oct. 26, 1943 to parents Cecil and Irene (Stone) Johnson in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

As a youth, Jim enjoyed living in the Fort Grounds area of town, spending time with friends, playing basketball, hanging out in the “Bums Jungle,” and working on cars, as well as being a member of The Coachmen Car Club.

As a teenager, Jim worked for the Coca-Cola plant and also the Cash and Carry Warehouse until he was critically injured in a car accident in 1963.

Jim was preceded in death by sisters Valerie and Marlene and brother Richard (Dick).

He is survived by sisters Patricia (Darel) Thompson of East Wenatchee, Wash., Rebecca Johnson of Post Falls, Idaho, brothers Kevin Johnson of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Dan Scott of Boise, Idaho, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Many thanks to the staff at Lacrosse Health and Rehab for the love and care (and coffee) they have given Jim over the years.

Cremation will take place and there will be no services.

Jim will be laid to rest with his parents at Forest Cemetery.
