Cardinal Classic Golf Tournament set for June 2

The Cardinal Classic Golf Tournament Fundraiser to support student athlete nutrition will be June 2.

Check-in will be at noon at the Links Golf Course, 10623 N. Chase Road, Post Falls.

All proceeds from this year’s event will to go the Student Athlete Cardinal Fueling Station. The goal of the fueling station is to fill gaps in access to nutrients created by the student athletes' unique time demands and schedules. Student athletes have extremely busy schedules and need healthy, nutritious snacks to perform their best on the field, in the gym, on the mat and during class. High training volumes and course loads often result in extended blocks of time when student athletes only have small breaks to fuel their bodies with nutritious options. The fueling station does not replace meals, but provides healthy snacks during times when these students have the most difficulty finding and eating something nutritious, such as before and after practice, or before and after class.

Individuals and businesses are invited to show their support through Cardinal Classic Golf Tournament sponsorships, or by registering four-person teams to participate. Prices vary.
