Day Shift
• Deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the Hauser Lake area. It appears a vehicle struck a tree causing the tree to fall over and block the front door and driveway of a residence. The deputy was able to track down the suspect vehicle and contacted the driver who admitted to driving and hitting the tree during the night. The driver was charged for failure to report an accident and striking a fixture.
• Deputies responded to Higgens Point for a report of vehicles racing in the area. Deputies responded to the area and most of the vehicles had left.
Evening Shift
• Deputies responded to a report of a citizen dispute over a gate and its placement. The parties advised were told it was a civil issue.
• Deputies responded to a juvenile problem in Hayden. It was reported a juvenile was walking down the sidewalk without any shoes. Deputies arrived on scene and recognized the 10-year-old from previous contacts and returned him home.
Night Shift
• Deputies made a traffic stop in the Stateline area. Deputies identified the driver and cited and released him for marijuana possession.
• A deputy made a traffic stop on a wrong way driver at I-90 and exit 11. The driver showed obvious signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for DUI and open container.
• Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident at the end of Pope Road and Bunco Road. The cause of the accident was due to inattention.
• Deputies responded to a shoplifter call at the Hayden Super 1 Foods. Loss prevention stopped two people who had concealed items in their backpacks and tried to leave the store. Both females were cited for petit theft.
• A deputy contacted an occupied vehicle at the Love's truck stop. He identified the occupant and learned the occupant had an active warrant.
