Richard Corbin, 81
Richard (Rick) Corbin, May 23, 1941, to Feb. 24, 2023. Rick loved people with a big heart and an outgoing personality. He quickly put others at ease with a joke or prank followed by friendly conversation. Rick welcomed friends and family into his home and around his table — wearing his spot down by years of elbows, glasses, good food and conversations. He was known for helping people and selflessly giving money from his pocket.
Rick was a business owner with an incredible work ethic as a cement finisher and home builder. He could fix or build anything. In his later years, Rick mastered the hobby of completing puzzles, which ended up framed and hanging on every wall in his shop!
Rick was from a close family of nine children and leaves behind his twin brother, Rob, and sisters Caralea and Sue. He kept the phone calls going and was quick to initiate a friendly “hello,” tell a story or spin a joke.
He was a dedicated family man who was proud of his 59-year marriage to Carol. They loved each other and their family well; a simple, understated, contagious love. He was thoughtful and tenderhearted, the first to show up at life's big events. He prided himself on making it to all of his grandchildren's births — driving hundreds of miles to accomplish it! He will be missed by his wife, Carol; his children, Lori, Wendy, Jill and Ken; their spouses, John, Greg, Michael and Carrie; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and every person he ever met.
"My father didn't tell me how to live, he lived and let me watch him do it." — Clarence Buddington Kelland
